Raid 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language crime thriller directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor, the film serves as a sequel to the 2018 hit Raid. It continues the journey of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, who is once again on a mission to uncover a major white-collar crime.
Similar to the first installment, Raid 2 draws inspiration from real-life income tax raids, showcasing the efforts of tax officials working alongside intelligence agencies to expose financial frauds. The movie was officially announced in April 2020, with pre-production beginning in August 2022.
Filming took place across Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi in early 2024. Raid 2 is set to hit theatres on 1 May 2025. The film has an overall budget of Rs 40 Crore. However, more than half of this budget is spent on the salaries of cast members.
