According to a Russian minister, negotiations on a bilateral agreement to facilitate travel between Russia and India will begin next month i.e. in June. RT News quoted Nikita Kondratyev, Director of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, as saying that coordination work between interior ministries in India is in the final stages. On the sidelines of the “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2024” international economic forum in Kazan, the Russian minister announced that the draft agreement will be discussed between Moscow and New Delhi for the first time in June and is likely to be signed by the end of 2024. Is.

The minister said, “Russia and India are ready to strengthen their tourism relations. Both countries are ready to start exchange of visa free tourist groups. “The first round of talks between the two countries is scheduled for June, with the aim of finalizing a bilateral agreement by the end of this year.”

Kondratyev said Russia also wants to continue the achievements of existing visa-free entry and free travel agreements with China and Iran.
