Roy Talkies is a powerful Bombay-based studio owned by the charismatic Srikant Roy (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and buoyed by the talented Mrs Roy, also known as Sumitra Devi (Aditi Rao Hydari), a popular star in her own right.
