In view of the upcoming IPL T20 matches at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, the Delhi Metro will extend the timing of its last trains by one to two hours on all lines, including the Airport Express Line. This move is aimed at providing convenience to spectators returning home after the matches, according to a statement issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
76 Additional Trains on Match Days
The DMRC said in the statement that 76 additional trains will operate on match days to manage the expected crowd at nearby metro stations after each match. The extended services will run up to one to two hours beyond the usual last train schedule on all lines.
Matches Scheduled on These Dates
The statement added that the decision aims to ensure a smooth and safe journey for spectators using the metro. The matches are scheduled to take place at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground on April 13, 16, 27, and 29, as well as on May 11.
