Captain America: Brave New World will be released in the United States on February 14, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. It is set to be the fourth Captain America film, a sequel to the television miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021), and the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Julius Onah directed the film, and he co-wrote the script with Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton.

Plot specifics have so far been kept under wraps in a typical Marvel way. However, filmmaker Julias Onah referred to the movie as a “paranoid thriller” when discussing it at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. More and more, it looks like Brave New World will end up like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, one of the best-reviewed films in the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. That film, which was inspired by political espionage thrillers from the 1970s, including 1975’s Three Days of Condor, starred Robert Redford as the antagonist, Alexander Pierce.
