For the first time this season, Delhi’s temperature has dropped below 10°C, signaling a rise in cold conditions. After December 5, the cold is expected to intensify. According to the weather department, the maximum temperature on Wednesday was 27.3°C, which is 1°C above normal, while the minimum temperature was 10.4°C, which is normal. The humidity level in the air ranged from 36% to 95%.
Forecasts suggest moderate fog and smog in the morning on Thursday, with light to moderate fog in the evening. The maximum temperature could reach 26°C, and the minimum could drop to 9°C. A yellow alert for fog has been issued for November 29, with moderate to dense fog expected in the morning. On November 30, light to moderate fog is likely to persist. The maximum temperature may reach 25°C, and the minimum could hover around 10°C.
After two days of rising temperatures, the cold is returning. According to Skymet, the temperature had increased over the past two to three days due to the effect of a western disturbance. Now, light cold is making a comeback. On November 29, another western disturbance will hit the northern mountains. Two western disturbances will pass through Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh one after the other. Their impact will be confined to the upper regions.

Fresh snowfall is expected in places like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg between November 30 and December 3. In lower hilly areas like Srinagar, Avantipura, and Shopian, light rain may occur on November 30 and December 1. By December 5, weather conditions in the hilly regions are expected to clear up.
Temperature to drop in the next two days In the next two days, Delhi NCR is likely to experience a slight drop in temperature. However, due to the influence of western disturbances, there won’t be a significant decrease in temperature for the next 4-5 days. Additionally, warm and humid winds from the east, driven by the cyclonic storm Fengkai, will reach central parts of the country. These winds may have a mild effect on South-West Uttar Pradesh, North-West Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi. Due to the combined influence of eastern and western weather systems, Delhi’s cold winter may take a little longer to set in.
On the other hand, there is no chance of rain in Delhi over the next 15 days. After December 5, temperatures are expected to fall further, with the possibility of the temperature dropping to single digits for the first time this season.
