Netflix is set to release its new limited series, Zero Day, on 20 February 2025. The show stars Robert De Niro as George Mullen, a former U.S. President.

The official trailer introduces Mullen as the head of the Zero Day Commission, an investigative team looking into a large-scale cyberattack that has thrown the nation into turmoil, causing thousands of deaths. The current U.S. President, Evelyn Mitchell, played by Angela Bassett, entrusts Mullen with the responsibility of finding those behind the attack.

As Mullen delves deeper, he faces mounting challenges. The investigation uncovers not only the attack’s complexity but also personal secrets that put both his reputation and safety in jeopardy. A key moment in the trailer features President Mitchell saying, “If the public finds out how deep this really is, I don’t think we survive that.”

The series is created by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim, and Mike Schmidt, who also serve as executive producers. Lesli Linka Glatter directs all six episodes while taking on an executive producer role. Robert De Niro and Jonathan Glickman are also among the executive producers.

The cast includes Jesse Plemons, Lizzy Caplan, Connie Britton, Joan Allen, and Matthew Modine in major roles, with guest appearances by Clark Gregg and Gaby Hoffmann.

Zero Day follows former President George Mullen as he investigates a cyberattack, leading to shocking revelations that threaten national security and his own legacy.
