Typically, the festival coincides with the Bhadra period. This year, Bhadra will be present on Raksha Bandhan from morning until 1:26 PM. Therefore, tying the Rakhi after this time will be auspicious. According to astrologers, this time Bhadra will reside in Patal (the netherworld), so its impact will be minimal.

This year, Raksha Bandhan will be observed under the witness of the Moon in Capricorn. Various scriptures mention different beliefs regarding the Moon in Capricorn during the month of Shravan. In this context, the Moon in Capricorn with Bhadra residing in Patal is considered a wealth indicator.
