India has avenged the brutal Pahalgam attack. Under “Operation Sindoor,” the Indian Air Force carried out coordinated air strikes on nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Each strike precisely targeted terrorist hideouts, and the powerful bombs used in the operation completely destroyed these sites.
The air strike was named Operation Sindoor by the Indian military. It is believed that the name carries a deeper message related to the tragic events in Pahalgam. In that terror attack, terrorists killed men and deliberately spared the women—snatching away their marital happiness and leaving them widowed. By naming the strike “Sindoor,” India symbolically paid tribute to those women and sent a strong message of justice and retaliation.
The operation is seen as India’s direct response to the attack where, on April 22, terrorists brutally killed 25 Indian and one Nepali citizen in Pahalgam. Reports said the attackers asked the religion of the victims and shot the men, telling the women to go back and “tell Modi.”
On April 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking at an event in Madhubani, Bihar, promised that the terrorists would face punishment beyond their imagination. Since then, the country had been waiting for a strong response. Now, with air strikes on nine major terror hubs, India has delivered a heavy blow to terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan and PoK—catching them completely off guard in the middle of the night.
