An Air India aircraft crashed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, resulting in the confirmed deaths of over 200 people, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. However, in what is being hailed as a miracle, one passenger survived the crash. Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, who was seated in seat 11A on the Air India flight to London, was rescued and admitted to a hospital immediately after the accident.
The 40-year-old Vishwas Kumar spoke to the media and said, “When I woke up, there were dead bodies all around me. I was terrified. I stood up and ran. Plane debris was scattered everywhere. Just 30 seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise, and the aircraft crashed. Everything happened so fast.” Vishwas suffered injuries to his chest, eyes, and legs, and is currently undergoing treatment.
The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carrying 242 people including crew members, took off from Ahmedabad at 1:38 PM on Thursday and crashed within minutes. The plane caught fire soon after the crash.

“We were together. He was traveling with me, and now I can’t find him. Please help me find him,” he pleaded.
The injured have been admitted to the Civil Hospital in the city. By Thursday evening, police confirmed the deaths of 265 people, and the toll is expected to rise.
