Famous Bollywood director and producer, Karan Johar announced via Twitter on Thursday that his popular and controversial talk show, Koffee with Karan, won’t be returning for the 7th season.
The series is popular for giving out unknown and unheard insights about the lives of celebrities. Almost all of the biggest superstars from Bollywood have appeared on the show throughout its journey of 6 seasons.
Karan posted a photo on Twitter that he titled “Important Announcement”. The photo contained the following words from Karan Johar, “Hello, Koffee With Karan has been a part of my life and yours, for 6 seasons now. I’d like to think we made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee With Karan will not be returning”.

Fans are in disbelief that their favourite talk show with Bollywood gossip will not be returning. Followers of Koffee with Karan expressed their disappointment and gratitude for the show in reply to Karan’s post on Twitter.
One fan wrote, “End of an era.” Another one said, “Karan rulaoge kya?” While one requested, “Oh please! Come for the seventh season,” along with sad emojis, another one wrote, “Is there a twist? Is it true? What is happening?” One said, “That’s really sad! KWK was and will always be an iconic guilty pleasure for man,” another one asked, “But why?? It was an excellent show.”
The show first premiered back in 2004 and continued for 15 years. Many superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and many more have graced the Koffee with Karan with their presence.
