Mammootty’s latest action thriller Bazooka hit theatres on Thursday, April 10. Right from the beginning, the film generated buzz due to its intriguing title and the fact that Mammootty is teaming up with a debutant director, Deeno Dennis. The movie’s first-day box office numbers from India are now out, confirming the initial hype.
According to early estimates shared by box office tracker Sacnilk.com, Bazooka collected approximately ₹3.25 crore on its opening day in India. Prior to release, the film had already made around ₹1.50 crore from advance bookings in Kerala alone.
Directed by Deeno Dennis, Bazooka features noted filmmaker and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role alongside Mammootty. The film also stars Siddharth Bharathan, Babu Antony, Hakim Shajahan, Bhama Arun, Dean Dennis, Sumit Naval, Divya Pillai, and Sphadikam George in key roles.
The movie has been described as a multi-level game-like thriller — a genre not commonly explored in Malayalam cinema. Reviews suggest that the film builds suspense effectively, delivering an unexpected climax that has delighted Mammootty fans.
