All children studying in government schools in the district must have an Aadhaar card. Only with an Aadhaar card can their entry be made in the e-Shiksha Kosh. Without an Aadhaar card, school students will be deprived of the benefits of government schemes such as DBT, textbooks, uniforms, FLN kits, AEP student kits, and more. Additionally, the names and dates of birth of the children in the school registers must match those given on the Aadhaar card.
All BEOs have been directed to inspect the school registers, and if any discrepancies are found, they should be rectified at the Aadhaar center. This is to ensure that there are no issues with online entries in the e-Shiksha Kosh after the names come from the schools.
Linking Aadhaar with bank accounts is also mandatory
To ensure that children studying in government schools receive the benefits of various schemes directly, linking Aadhaar with their bank accounts is mandatory. Aadhaar centers have been set up in the schools themselves. Out of the total 46 Aadhaar centers in the district, 37 have been operational. Aadhaar cards for students from Class 1 to 12 are being made at these 37 Aadhaar centers.
